Mr. Blumert earned his J.D., cum laude, from Drexel University School of Law in 2014.¬† Throughout his legal education, Mr. Blumert focused on Intellectual Property, earning honors in the field upon graduation.¬† In addition, the faculty recognized and awarded him with the Robert Washburn Intellectual Property Scholarship award as well as top performance awards in Copyrights, Pennsylvania Law Practice and Transactional Law.
In addition to academic success, Mr. Blumert served as an Associate Editor for the Drexel Law Review, Chair Board Member of the Intellectual Property Society, Vice President of the Environmental Law Society and avidly participated in pro bono projects.
Prior to attending law school, Mr. Blumert earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering, cum laude, with minors in Chemistry and Mathematics, from Manhattan College in 2010.¬† While attaining his undergraduate degree, Mr. Blumert was awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation to complete a research project in molecular biology at North Carolina State University.
Prior to joining RatnerPrestia, Mr. Blumert worked as a Research and Development Chemist at Avon Inc., interned at the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, and co-oped in a Philadelphia firm's intellectual property group.
